Make change at your pace
Therapy can be uncomfortable to start, it’s hard to be sure you have found the right match for you. My style of therapy is collaborative, I don’t just tell you what to do, I welcome you to share your thoughts about the work as well. If we were to compare the therapeutic process to a fantasy adventure, you tell me our destination, I advise on routes to get there and you determine how fast we walk or run. Much like an adventure we are likely to run into the unexpected as well, its a healthy part of the process to go off course and return when we can.

UNDERSTANDING THE SIGNS
Does this sound like you?
THINGS “SHOULD” BE EASY BUT THEY’RE NOT
Trying hard to focus and stay organized just doesn’t seem to work like it does for other people. Motivation comes and goes on its own whims. You want to move forward but there’s something no one can see getting in the way.
CAUGHT IN THE CYCLE
Overthinking, worries, and exhaustion keep looping, and all you want is to feel a sense of ease again. Sometimes you catch the cycle but that’s not enough to stop it.
STRESSED AND UNSURE
The pressure of life builds and builds and doesn’t seem to have anywhere to go. You stay strong, hold it back but at a cost to yourself and those around you.

How I can help
01
ACCEPTANCE AND UNDERSTANDING
In our work together we will learn to understand your mind and how it works. Understanding makes room for acceptance that what works for others does not work for everyone.
02
SKILLS FOCUSED
As we develop acceptance and understanding I will introduce skills for us to experiment with and see what best fits you and your circumstances.

How it works
HERE TO HELP YOU HELP YOU
Hello there! I’m Matt.
I am a psychotherapist specializing in helping adults learn what ADHD is and how their neurodivergence affects them. ADHD often comes in combination with feelings of anxiety depression and general difficulty with life transitions. I have developed skills to teach clients to listen to their mind and understand, and perhaps more importantly accept, how it works. Many of my clients have faced problems of struggling with worry to achieve their personal and professional goals, low self esteem or developing healthy relationship boundaries. While this is my focus, I have worked effectively with people and problems outside of this specialty as well.
I have helped clients make significant positive change in areas of anxiety, depression, anger, grief, self esteem and trauma as well. I work with my clients to find what skills work best for them and always emphasize the importance of “meet yourself where you’re at.”
